Everything you need to know before joining a TrovaTrails Experience.

Q: How long does a TrovaTrails Experience last?

A: Most Experiences last around 1.5 to 2 hours, including the themed activity (such as gladiator training or a detective trail) and breaks. Enough time for fun and learning, but not too long for kids to get tired.

Q: What age group are the Experiences designed for?

A: Experiences are designed for children aged 8–12. Teens and older kids are encouraged to join and will enjoy the challenge — many of the trails feel like outdoor escape rooms, and older kids are sometimes essential for cracking the harder puzzles.

Q: Do parents join in?

A: Yes — our trails are designed as family missions. Kids work in small groups of 3–4, and each group needs an adult to guide them. Parents help keep everyone together, support with the clues, and join in the fun. This keeps groups small and ensures kids can fully take part in the interactive elements.

Q: Do we need to bring costumes, water, or tickets?

A: We provide all the props and materials needed for the activity. Costumes are optional (and always fun!) but not required. We recommend bringing a bottle of water, especially in warm weather. You’ll receive a booking confirmation by email, which serves as your ticket.

Q: How much does it cost and what’s included?

A: Prices vary slightly depending on the Experience, but most are around €10–€20 per child. This includes the full activity, materials, and a keepsake certificate. Parents attend free of charge, only paying entry tickets when needed.

Q: What’s the difference between TrovaTrails Experiences and the TrovaTrails App?

A: TrovaTrails Experiences are special in-person events led by our team — like Gladiator training, Spy Trails, or themed adventures in Rome. They take place on set dates and times, and you join other families for a shared activity.

The TrovaTrails App is different: it’s a self-guided adventure you can play anytime. With the app, your family becomes the detectives, following clues and solving puzzles as you explore Rome at your own pace.
