The Pantheon: how to get your ticket & avoid the lines
As of July 3, you now need tickets to enter the Pantheon. Here are tips to avoid a long wait in line and to save money when you visit this must-see ancient building.
Use the official site to book your €5 tickets. It’s not only the cheapest way to visit the Pantheon, but also the quickest way. It’s still hard to find the offical website, do not be duped by claims to beat the line: there is no faster line - and the website with the audio guide is NOT the official site. Buy your tickets on this link and save yourself up to an hour in a sweaty queue.. www.museiitaliani.it
Visit before 10. Queues seem to double from 10 to 11 so arrive before 10.
Remember to cover your shoulders: as it’s a working church, you won’t be allowed into the site if your shoulders are uncovered. I’ve seen an inventive tourist walk in with two visor hats on her bare shoulders, most use a scarf.
